s a ghost geek and history buff, the Pike Market Ghost Tour was exactly what I hoped for. Chuck, our host, had great stories of the area around the market and old Seattle. The ghost stories weren't lame, or for cheap shivers. We went @ five when the market was just closing and it was still light. "My friend came from out of town and this was the one thing that she asked to do. It didn't disappoint. Penny was our tour guide and she was great. She provided the perfect mix of history as well as a dash of the spooky. We attended the first tour of the day at 5pm on a sunny afternoon so it wasn't particularly scary, but there were parts that were still kind of creepy. I really feel like we learned a lot about the market and the buildings as well as some of the history of how modern Seattle came to look like it does now. Mercedes took our reservations on-line and called me back to confirm, and she was super nice. Even if your guests have doubts about the supernatural elements, there is a lot of information here on the tour. "What a GREAT time! Whether or not you believe in ghosts, you will find this experience incredibly interesting. They share the history of some of Seattle's more intriguing places and people (whether you believe those people continue to linger in the market is for you to decide!). Although I walk near the market nearly every day I had no idea!
