"What better way to learn Seattle's history than walking thru Pikes Market weaving history with tales of ghosts & hauntings. Make sure your camera is fully charged, and take lots of photos. Orbs didn't show up on my photos for several weeks. Don't ask me to explain. My friends are still talking about how much they learned. Stories from store owners, Kells Irish pub, Princess Angelina, and a law that prohibited flower pots above the street level. They could be used as a deadly weapon, and during the Klondike Gold Rush people were getting $50 for each dead body they brought to the mortuary. The Market Ghost Tour is something that shouldn't be missed.  I took friends here for my birthday and they are still talking  about it! " ~ Maria Mason, Bainbridge Island

"My Husband and I enjoyed the Ghost tour we went on last night at 7. Penny was a great tour guide. She was funny, witty, and helped you experience Seattle and it's history like never before. So, Thank you Penny. This has been very exciting for me. I have captured orbs around my home, but as much as I tried during other ghost tours this was the first time I have been able to capture them anywhere else. This was very exciting for me. So Thank you again for this wonderful experience." - Crystal 6/26/2011

"This is a great walking tour around Pike Place Market.  At its heart is the history, often sordid, of the early days of Seattle.  The tour presentation is well researched and the stories are really interesting. It's a spooky tour because of hearing of the sad and horrible things that have happened there over the years.  This is not a jump-out-and-scream-boo kind of scary tour.  Highly recommended for tourists and for Seattle natives alike." - Fort 4/17/2011

"We loved it! We saw and learned more about the Market and the surrounding area than we'd ever known, and we are now anxious to learn more. In fact, after the tour, we went back to the Butterworth building (where so many restaurants have failed) and stood on the sidewalk and watched and wondered and talked about it. I was so intrigued (I peered through the glass up that staircase for 10 solid mnutes) that I didn't want to leave. That story, as well as all the others, is utterly fascinating." - Jodi 2/20/2011

"We came for my daughter's 13th birthday...she loved it & we all had such a good time - funny, witty, full of information. I am sure you put everything you have in to every tour you give. Thank you again." - Emily 2/9/2011

"My friend and I took a tour tonight and had the time of our lives. We are both elevator operators at the Space Needle and so seek out as many gritty, delicious Seattle facts as we can get our grubby paws on; this tour absolutely fit the bill, and our guide, Chuck, was a (charming) wealth of useful information. Thanks so much for a fantastic tour experience" - Linnea January 6, 2011

Mercedes with GAC"I just wanted to Thank Heather and Mercedes for the great tour that we had while visiting Seattle. It really made the trip such a great experience to learn all the story's and history of Seattle. We will be back to doing it again when we revisit. Thanks for such a great time." - Henry & Shiloh, November 2, 2010

"A great time for all. No horror, no fakes, just history, facts and a smattering of paranormal suggestion. Really interesting look at Seattle's historical roots. Book early online for weekends in October, tours sell out. BRING YOUR CAMERA! A lot of the "Activity" they elude to is captured mostly by photos...customer submitted photos...we caught some "orbs" and smokey spaces; we will be sending the pics to the tour for confirmation. Interested in the "R" rated tour?" October 17, 2010 on tripadvisor.com

Heather and tour"For 2 people who have lived in the Seattle area as long as we have, we have definitely NOT spent enough time getting to know Pike Place Market! I'm SO glad you have taken such an active interest in preserving the history, past and present, of this special place! Keep up the good work." - recent note from the Teller family, October 2010

"Ghosts AND Lust?!?  Score!!... well, not literally because we didn't make out with any ghosts... but we did learn some of Seattle dirty little secrets!  A good amount of history (but the kind I like to pay attention to) with some lusty and ghostly stories mixed in.  Good good fun!... and don't sit on the railings at Pike's Market... just sayin'..." - Erin, yelp.com review 9/12/2010

Tour group in Post Alley"As a ghost geek and history buff, the Pike Market Ghost Tour was exactly what I hoped for. Chuck, our host, had great stories of the area around the market and old Seattle. The ghost stories weren't lame, or for cheap shivers. We went @ five when the market was just closing and it was still light. I would imagine it has a different affect after dark when all of the vendors are gone. This tour is a must! Worth the price!" - Jamie, yelp.com review 6/18/2010

"My friend came from out of town and this was the one thing that she asked to do. It didn't disappoint. Penny was our tour guide and she was great. She provided the perfect mix of history as well as a dash of the spooky. We attended the first tour of the day at 5pm on a sunny afternoon so it wasn't particularly scary, but there were parts that were still kind of creepy. I really feel like we learned a lot about the market and the buildings as well as some of the history of how modern Seattle came to look like it does now. Mercedes took our reservations on-line and called me back to confirm, and she was super nice. Even if your guests have doubts about the supernatural elements, there is a lot of information here on the tour. I highly recommend this for any guests from out of town as well as locals that haven't grown up in Seattle." - Jonathan, yelp.com review 5/25/2010

Tour participants at the Gum Wall"What a GREAT time!  Whether or not you believe in ghosts, you will find this experience incredibly interesting. They share the history of some of Seattle's more intriguing places and people (whether you believe those people continue to linger in the market is for you to decide!).  Although I walk near the market nearly every day I had no idea! We took our son and some friends on the tour for his 12th birthday and both kids and adults had a blast!"   - Brian J, yelp.com review 1/26/2010

" Penny was great, enjoyed myself so much it will be on my "things to do when the friends and relatives come to visit!" Tell Penny we loved her energy and ability to talk! " -  Kris S. 4/16/2010

"Just wanted to say thanks for a fascinating tour last night. Great history in a wonderful location. My daughter and I loved it. Your tour guide Penny was absolutely the best. She knows and loves her subject matter and it shows.  Will reccomend to anyone." - Thomas November 2009

We want to let you know that Michele was absolutely stellar and made our night! She is very impressive and professional, personable, very pleasant, interesting, entertaining with ease, a fantastic historian and amazing tour guide. Please give her a 10 out of 10 and accept our praise for her! Thanks for a wonderful service and your top asset, Michele. We recommend her in a heartbeat, and your fabulous tour." - Valentine's Day tour 2009

"I just wanted to thank you again for the private tour you gave our company on Wednesday nite, it was fabulous, and everyone just loved it! It is still a topic of conversation around here! We are definitely coming back to Seattle and you will see several of us in your tour group again at some time or another. Thank you for making it so entertaining and just a lot of fun!" - Tammy 2008

At the Point"I've been meaning to write & Thank You for the fabulous tour of Pike Place Market. We had such a great time. So much history that we didn’t know! And we live here! You made the tour both fun & entertaining and we want to express our gratitude for a truly memorable afternoon." - Tina, Renate & Austin March 2006

"I just wanted to tell you again how much I enjoyed your tour. Of the ghost tours I have been on, I found yours to be one of the most entertaining and informative. I can not think of a better way to learn about a place then by hearing its ghost stories. Though I had never heard of the Pike Place Market before taking your tour, I now feel like I know something about a place that many people take for granted. Thank you for sharing these stories and organizing a great tour, I will undoubtedly suggest your tour to anyone I know who is visiting the Seattle area." -Charles September 2006
