The Gum Wall
06.16.2010 Today was quite the day. A team of us (Joe Teeples, Cynthia from the theater, and me) cleaned the Gum Wall of graffiti. In the last week, the Gum Wall was tagged by a graffiti (I hesitate to use the word 'artist' here) vandal who used bright green spray paint on the wall. Because there was so much gum on the wall, most of the historic brick did not end up saturated in spray paint, but some of it was covered. It took three hours to clean it. Here are the before and after pictures:

after three hours of scrubbingNow, the wall needs gum to cover up its bare parts. Get chewing, come down for a show at the theater, come down for a tour and heal the wall.
