Seattle gets a leading role in Korean film 'Late Autumn'
03.8.2010 The title of this post is from an article in the Seattle Times by Nicole Tsong. It begins with, "The list of locations for the movie "Late Autumn" is low-key, local and a little bit surprising. This star-studded Korean-U.S. film may be a love story set in Seattle, but it ignores the predictable, sweeping drama of the Space Needle for the faded Fun Forest below."
Included in the film is the Market Ghost Tour and our guide, Penny Truitt. Penny spent the better part of a week filming on location in the Pike Place Market, dressed in a black gothic costume and giving the ghost tour to the main characters. The article in the Times talks about the love affair the film makers had with Seattle and their choices of locations for the film. This is sure to be a visually beautiful film, showing parts of Seattle that locals love, like Ballard and the Market. A scout for the film went on the ghost tour a while ago. We then got a call asking if asking if our guides would audition for the film, Penny did, and it was a great experience. Congratulations Penny! We are very excited that Penny and the tours are included.
