#2

In 2009 we were awarded the title of #2 ghost tour in the USA by tripadvisor.com. ( Click here to see the list.) This was surprising for us, as Seattle does not have the ghostly history that, as an example, New Orleans does. Yet we beat out NOLA for a spot in the top 3. Savannah won #1 - which was not a surprise. The ghost tours in Savannah are incredible. (We went there last March and took 4.)

I have been thinking about that title : #2 and wondering what would deserve that placement. I have to say that the Market at night is a unique experience. Rarely does a tourist see the Pike Place Market at night; the architecture, the neon, the cobblestones, and the alleys. Our tour is truly a rare opportunity to connect with the land, the history, and the stories of the area. It's not just the ghost stories. We offer an alternative history, a different way of sharing this community we love so much. At night, it's bare, it's open, and you can imagine the history of the place. It truly comes alive. Michele (one of our tour guides) calls it a "Spirit Market" and she is right. There is a wonderful sense of the mysterious and the old walking along the cobblestones at night. Bring your camera and take pictures of the neon, the lights, and the paranormal.
